Glad you found the show.

I'm assuming when you said "our age" you meant those of us over 40.

On the JET website under criteria it says

In principle, be under forty years of age. One of the main purposes of the programme is to foster exchange between Japanese youth and young professionals from the countries participating in the programme.

So, if you have something special to offer they might give you a chance. Being able to speak English, French, and Spanish could help.

There are some job listings on the sidebar that you can search through for English teaching jobs and non-teaching jobs.

AEON, ECC, BERLITZ, GEOS are a few of the private language schools with websites you can take a look at.

Also you can go over to the forum and see if anyone has any other suggestions.

There is always hope!

Hi ChazI like your podcast. Usually just watch my favorite show on Odoroku.tv It is cool because it is interactive. You can send them an email with your comment and they will read it on air.

Soo, I like Miami but I want to get away for awhile. Can people our age teach in the Jet program?

I want to live there for awhile and study Japanese traditional dance. Dance is my 1st biggest hobby, for the moment I study Indian classical dance and ATS bellydance.

Is there hope ?
