Happy Healthy New Year!

Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone who follows the show. I hope we all have the healthiest, wealthiest, happiest, and most peaceful year of our lives. I'll be posting some new episodes of English Teaching in Japan very soon.

The video below has nothing to do with the new year, but if you live in a cold place it might warm you up a little.

I shot this for my students when I was back home in '07. I did a series of videos to give them a taste of my life back in the States and I also used them for class. Students had to make comments, ask questions, and answer questions about the videos as part of their summer homework.

If you're coming to Japan to teach get out and start making your own videos to use in your classes.

Chaz,

Recently found your blog thanks to a friend. As a fellow gaikokujin teacher in Japan who also blogs, I find inspiration in what you are doing.

I am not going to go home for the holidays, but I think I can find some ways to bring videos into the classroom to teach English. Also, I think I will try podcasting on my blog to give readers back home a different perspective.

Keep it up.

明けましておめでとうございます。

Thanks! I'm just trying to help make the experience for teachers and students a little better.

Best of luck to you in the new year with teaching, blogging, and podcasting.

Keep sharing!
